1. Who We Are

Cybrenexes ("we," "us," "our") is the developer and publisher of Pulse, a firewall log analysis and network security intelligence application. We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. For privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@cybrenexes.com.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, work email address, company name, and role — collected when you register, request a trial, or purchase a subscription.
• Billing information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Usage data: Basic information about your subscription tier, license activation status, and support interactions.
• Contact form submissions: Any information you provide when contacting us through the website.
• What we do NOT collect: Your firewall logs, network traffic data, IP addresses from your network, or any data processed by the Pulse desktop application. That data stays on your infrastructure.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Service delivery: To create and manage your account, process payments, and deliver license keys.
• Communications: To send transaction receipts, license keys, security digest emails (if enabled), and product updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
• Support: To respond to your support requests and improve the product.
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. On-Premise Data

The Pulse desktop application runs entirely on your own hardware. Firewall logs, network analysis results, threat intelligence data, and all security data processed by Pulse are stored in your PostgreSQL database on your infrastructure. Cybrenexes has no access to this data. The only external network requests made by the Pulse application are: (a) to ip-api.com for GeoIP lookups of public IP addresses; (b) to AbuseIPDB for threat intelligence checks (if you configure an API key); (c) to api.anthropic.com for AI threat explanations (if you configure an API key); (d) to your PSA provider (ConnectWise/Autotask) if you configure the integration; (e) to your configured firewall API for direct block commands.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with: (a) Stripe, for payment processing; (b) Resend, for transactional email delivery; (c) law enforcement or regulators, if required by applicable law. All third-party service providers are contractually required to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting privacy@cybrenexes.com.

7. Cookies

The Cybrenexes website uses only essential session cookies required for authentication (signing in to the customer portal). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services.

8. Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; withdraw consent to marketing communications; lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. 9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted storage of passwords and payment credentials, HTTPS-only web access, and access controls limiting who can access account data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Pulse is a professional business application not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on cybrenexes.com. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
